So, I’ve been eyeing this Fendi 2002 FF Zucca Oyster Bag for a while now. You know, the one you see on the official site? Yeah, that’s the one. I finally decided to get one for myself.
First off, I did some digging around. What’s the deal with this bag? Turns out, it’s called the “Fendi Mama Forever Zucca Bag” – quite a mouthful, right? And those fancy stores, that’s where you gotta go if you want one of these. It’s a shoulder bag, which is great because I like to keep my hands free.
I started looking for it, and I found one that said “Original Order”. Fancy, huh? It’s made by this Italian company, Fendi. They put their mark all over it, these “FF” things. Looks pretty sturdy, I gotta say.
Now, I’ve heard some folks say this is a “vintage” bag. I guess that means it’s been around the block a few times? But, vintage or not, this bag is pretty cool. It looks good, and it seems like I can fit a bunch of stuff in there, they call it “roomy”. And really, what’s the point of a bag if you can’t stuff it full of your things?
This bag I got, it came with this strong strap, made of leather, I think. And that Zucca pattern, it’s everywhere – front, back, even on the sides. It is pretty recognizable.
The Process
- First, I went online and checked out the official Fendi store.
- I searched for the “Fendi Mama Forever Zucca Bag”.
- I looked at the pictures and read the description, making sure it was the “Oyster” version.
- I saw it had a dark brown leather trim and a dark gunmetal grey hardware.
- The size was there too, about 12 x 10 x 2.5, with a 10-inch strap. Not too big, not too small.
- Once I was sure, I ordered it. Easy peasy.
Some of these bags come with a “Certificate of Authenticity”. I guess that’s their way of saying it’s not a knock-off. Mine didn’t have one but it came with the original storage bag. So I figured it’s all good.
I also read somewhere that Fendi bags, and Prada too, they usually keep their value. But who knows, fashion changes so fast. They usually have sales at the end of spring/summer and fall/winter seasons, that’s what I read. Anyway, I got mine, and that’s all that matters.
So yeah, that’s my story of getting this Fendi bag. It was a bit of a splurge, but hey, a guy’s gotta treat himself sometimes, right?
