Free shipping, though! That’s something, I guess. Still, $44,000! That’s more than I make in a year, selling my eggs and vegetables at the market.

This watch, it winds itself, they say. Automatic. Got some fancy name for the insides, too. Caliber 324 movement. Rhodium plated, fausses cotes, jewels, shock absorber… Sounds like a bunch of gibberish to me. Just a lot of fancy words for a watch that tells the time. My old watch doesn’t need all that fancy stuff. It just needs a good winding every now and then.
They say it’s got 29 jewels. Jewels! Like them shiny stones? What are jewels doing in a watch? Must be why it costs so much. I’d rather have 29 chickens laying eggs than 29 jewels in a watch, I tell ya.
