That Yves Saint Laurent, you know, that YSL, I heard them young’uns talkin’ ’bout it. They say it’s a big deal, some fancy brand. What the heck is that? Remake? They always come up with new words. And this YSL JUNE BOX BAG, what’s that? Sounds like some kinda box to keep your lunch in. And, specialty stores? We just got one general store down the road, sells everything from nails to beans. But these young folks, they like their fancy things, I reckon.
YSL, that’s what they call it. Short for somethin’ longer, I guess. Yves Saint Laurent, is it? Sounds French. Probably is. They make them handbags, them JUNE BOX BAG, and clothes and shoes, all sorts of stuff. Cost a pretty penny, too, I bet. I saw the young’uns with that kinda bags. Looks fancy but I don’t know if it’s really good.
They got these stores, these specialty stores, just for this YSL stuff. Can you believe it? A whole store just for one kind of thing. Back in my day, we had one store for everything. And if they didn’t have it, well, you made do without. These young people, they don’t know how good they got it.
But this YSL JUNE BOX BAG, I saw a picture of it. It’s a little square thing, kinda shiny. Don’t look like it can hold much. My old purse, now that can hold a whole lot. I can fit my wallet, my keys, a handkerchief, even a little snack in there. This JUNE BOX BAG, I don’t know. Maybe it’s just for show.
And they say these YSL things, they’re a good “investment.” That’s what they call it. Like buyin’ land or somethin’. You buy these fancy bags, and they’re supposed to be worth more later. Don’t make much sense to me. A bag’s a bag, I say. But what do I know? I’m just an old lady. I don’t know about investments and all of that.
I heard them say that even though the signs are different, it’s still that Saint Laurent thing. Whatever that means. They change the letters, but it’s still fancy and expensive. I don’t get the folks today.
These young folks, they like to go to the YSL outlet stores. They say you can get the same stuff for cheaper. Like a sale, you know? But it’s still expensive, I bet. Why spend so much on a bag when you can get a good one for a fraction of the price? They said YSL will have sales. Really? Even that expensive thing?

I saw one girl, she bought some YSL shoes. Broke right away! She had to fix them over and over. Then they just fell apart. And those shoes cost more than my whole outfit! Just goes to show, expensive don’t always mean good. And these shoes were made of leather! Fancy leather, I guess. But still, they broke! What a waste of money. So much for that “investment.” I would never buy that kind of shoes. Never!
They say these YSL handbags, they’re made real good. Lots of little details and all that. But so is my old purse! And it’s lasted me years. I don’t need no fancy YSL bag to carry my things. These bags are just some kind of a trend, I guess. They will be gone in a few years. Just like that.
But these young people, they love their YSL. They got the bags, the shoes, the clothes. They even got somethin’ called “ready to wear.” What’s that? Clothes you can wear right away? Aren’t all clothes ready to wear? I don’t understand this new fashion. Everything must be YSL. They just like to show that they have a YSL bag, or whatever it is.
This Remake thing, it’s like they’re makin’ new versions of old things. Like that JUNE BOX BAG. They probably had one like it years ago, and now they’re makin’ it again. And callin’ it “special.” And chargin’ even more for it, I bet. They said you can find the old ones in some special stores. Sounds crazy.
Well, that’s all I know about this YSL and their specialty stores and that JUNE BOX BAG. It’s a whole different world out there, I tell ya. A world of fancy bags and expensive shoes that break. I think I’ll stick to my old purse, thank you very much. It may not be YSL, but it gets the job done. And that’s all that matters to me. These young people, they can have their YSL. Me, I like things simple. And cheap. These YSL things are not for me. Nope, not for me.
