Hey everyone, so I’ve been obsessed with this PRADA Tessuto Nylon Backpack I saw on their official website. You know, the one that’s like a total throwback but still super chic? Yeah, that’s the one. Anyway, I decided to try and remake it myself.
Getting Started
First things first, I spent hours on the PRADA official website, just staring at the bag. I needed to get every detail right, from the size to the shape, the way the straps are attached, everything.
After that, I went on a bit of a material hunt. I found some recycled nylon that felt pretty good, you know, got that same kind of texture as the real deal. I also picked up some zippers, buckles, and a few other bits and pieces that looked close enough to the ones on the PRADA bag.
Putting It Together
Then came the hard part – actually making the bag. I started by cutting out the nylon according to the measurements I had taken, keeping in mind to cut some extra pieces for pockets and details. I am just a beginner in sewing, so I had to be very careful during each step. It was a lot of trial and error, let me tell you.
- The first step is to cut the fabric to the right size, which I did.
- Then, I sewed the pieces together, which was tougher than I thought.
- After a few tries, I finally got the main body of the bag done.
- Next, I added the pockets, which was easier.
- Finally, I attached the straps and the PRADA logo, and it was done!
Sewing the pieces together was a real challenge. I think I ripped the seams apart and started over at least five times. But, you know, practice makes perfect, right? Eventually, I got the hang of it and managed to get the main body of the bag looking decent.
Next up were the pockets. These were a bit easier, thankfully. I just had to make sure they were the right size and in the right place. Then I worked on the straps. Getting them to sit right and be comfortable took some time, but I figured it out. The last step was adding the little details, like the PRADA logo. I found a similar-looking one online and attached it to the front.
The Final Result
So, after all that work, how did it turn out? Well, it’s not an exact replica, but I’m pretty proud of it! It’s got that same kind of vibe as the PRADA Tessuto Nylon Backpack, and it’s definitely good enough for me to use. Plus, I made it myself, which is pretty cool. I am not sure if I can take it outside and I definitely won’t do that, but at least I made it!
All in all, it was a fun project. It took a lot longer than I expected, and it was a bit frustrating at times, but I learned a lot. Would I do it again? Maybe. But next time, I might just save up and buy the real thing from the official flagship store!
