You see, that PRADA, that big name, they got this bag, they call it Galleria. Yeah, Galleria, like some fancy gallery place. This one, it’s small, a Small Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Bag. They say it’s official, from the flagship store. What’s a flagship? Sounds like a boat to me. Anyway, this bag, it’s made of that Saffiano leather.
This Saffiano, it ain’t like regular leather, you know. Regular leather, it gets old, it changes. This one, they do something to it. They say it’s “treated and embossed.” Embossed? Like it’s got bumps? I don’t know. They say it don’t get that old look, that “patina.” My old shoes got patina, I guess. They are just old. This Saffiano leather, it stays the same, I reckon. They say it’s real leather though, “genuine leather.”
They say this Prada Galleria bag, it’s named after some store. Some old store that guy, Mario Prada, opened a long time ago. 1913, they say! That’s way before I was born! He opened it in some place called Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan. Milan, that’s in Italy, you know. Sounds fancy, don’t it?

- They got these stores, “outlets,” outside of Florence.
- Florence, that’s another place in Italy.
- They got these Prada outlets in Milan, Venice, and Rome, too.
This small Galleria bag, they got it in black. Black is a good color. Don’t show the dirt as much, you know. They got it all over, these stores, these “authorized retailers.” Means they’re allowed to sell it, I guess.
They also got a mini one, even smaller than the small one. They call it a Prada Galleria Saffiano leather mini-bag. Smaller than small, like for your little girl or something. But I bet it still costs a lot. My granddaughter, she wants one of these Prada bags. I told her, “Girl, you need to save your money!”
You know, they say this Prada, it’s cheaper than that other one, that LV. What’s LV? Another one of them fancy names. They say LV is “slightly more expensive.” Slightly? I bet it’s a whole lot more expensive! They sell all kinds of things, these fancy names. Leather jackets, bags, shoes, all that stuff. They got those high-heel shoes, too. My feet hurt just thinking about them!
They say you can buy these Prada bags online. Online? What’s that? On the computer, I guess. I don’t know about that. I like to see things before I buy them. Touch them, you know? Make sure they’re good.
This small Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Bag, it’s got that little triangle thing on it. A logo, they call it. That’s how you know it’s a Prada, I guess. That little triangle.
They say you can order it, and they’ll send it to you. They say it will come between December 11th and 18th. That’s around Christmas time. Maybe a Christmas present for someone? Not for me, though. I don’t need no fancy bag. They have a “Holiday Cutoff”. I don’t know what does it mean. Maybe they are busy then?
This leather, it can be thick or thin. They say it depends on what it’s for, and what animal it came from. They got “chrome-tanned” and “vegetable-tanned.” I don’t know what that means. Sounds like something you’d do to a vegetable. Maybe they put it in the sun to dry? Like when we dry tomatoes? I don’t know.
Anyway, this Prada Galleria bag, it’s a thing. A fancy thing. If you got the money, I guess you can buy it. Me, I’ll stick to my old bag. It works just fine. But if you’re going to Italy, maybe you can get one of these Prada bags. They say it’s the cheapest place to get them. Just remember to shop the new arrivals, the new stuff, that’s what the young folks like to do, they always want new things. I say, old things are just fine, too, if they still work!
