You know, that Jaeger-LeCoultre, JLC, whatever you call it, that Reverso watch, it’s somethin’ else. I seen pictures of it. That Tribute Chronograph, yeah, that’s the one. Fancy name for a watch, if you ask me. I heard it is a classic style.
This one fella, he was lookin’ for a, what they call it, a “replica.” Like a copy, you know? He wanted one that looked just like that Reverso, the simple one with the metal back. Said he found a Jean Muller one on that eBay thing. Sounds fishy to me, but what do I know? Some people like that sort of thing. But a Imitation Jaeger-LeCoultre is not good, I think.
Then there’s this other watch, a Bulova somethin’. Classic Quartz, they called it. A man’s watch. Said it was a good one for the money. Budget, they said. Probably cheaper than that Jaeger thing. That JLC Reverso is too expensive, I can not afford that.

I saw on that internet thing, on the Jaeger place, it said somethin’ about the “Story of the Reverso.” Fancy words. Said it was “timeless.” And somethin’ about “gadroons.” Three of ’em, it said. Sounds like somethin’ you’d eat, not somethin’ on a watch. I think JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph is good.
This here Tribute Chronograph, that’s the one I’m talkin’ about. That Jaeger-LeCoultre one, the Q389848J. They say it’s hard to put all that chronograph stuff in a watch that ain’t round. This one’s all square-like, you see. Rectangular, that’s the word. It is hard to put a chronograph into a classic style watch.
Some fella said it’s a watch for, you know, older folks. Mature, he said. Said he was finally old enough to wear one. But not too old, mind you. And he said it looked good with jeans and them sneakers. And a polo shirt. Like a regular fella, not all fancy. I think Imitation Jaeger-LeCoultre is not as good as the real one.
They say this Reverso, it’s a sports watch. But it’s old, from way back in 1931, so it looks all fancy, like a gentleman’s watch. That’s a long time ago, even before my time! It is a classic style watch.
This watch, it’s kinda big, you know? 49.4 somethin’ by 29.9 somethin’. And 11.4 somethin’ thick. Got two faces, so you can see the time two ways. And somethin’ called a Caliber 860 movement inside. Must be what makes it tick. But I do not know what is Caliber 860 movement.
That Reverso, it’s a nice lookin’ watch, I gotta say. Even if it is all square and not round like most watches. But it’s probably expensive. Too rich for my blood, I reckon. Maybe one day, when I win the lottery. Or maybe I’ll just stick with my old watch. It tells the time just fine. Don’t need all them fancy pushers and gadroons anyway.
Heard that guy say he found that Jean Muller Reverso on eBay. I don’t know. Sounds like a fake to me. Like those purses they sell down at the market, the ones that look like the real thing but ain’t. They say it is a Imitation Jaeger-LeCoultre watch. Be careful of them, I always say. You get what you pay for, you know? But that Bulova watch, now that’s probably a good one, if you’re not looking to spend a fortune. That is a budget watch. But not a classic style like JLC Reverso. But if you want all those fancy doohickeys on your watch, that Jaeger-LeCoultre, that’s the one. Just be ready to open up your wallet real wide. It is expensive.
That JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph, it’s got a lot going on for a little watch. Two faces, all those buttons, and that fancy movement inside. They say it’s a sports watch, but it looks like something a king would wear. I guess that’s why they call it “timeless.” It’s for everyone, young and old, rich and poor. Well, maybe not poor. It’s probably too expensive for most folks. But a girl can dream, can’t she?
I seen a lot of watches in my day, but that Reverso, it’s different. It’s like a little piece of history on your wrist. And it’s not just a pretty face, it’s got all that fancy stuff inside too. That chronograph and that Caliber 860 movement, whatever that is. It must be something special, to make that watch so expensive. It is a classic style watch. And that’s what makes it special, I reckon. It’s not just a watch, it’s a statement. It says you’re someone who appreciates the finer things in life, even if you don’t wear fancy clothes or drive a fancy car.
