Teen charged with three deaths in horror SA crash

A teenage boy has been charged following a fatal car crash which killed three people in South Australia on Saturday.

The 16-year-old was arrested on Sunday and charged with causing death by dangerous driving after two women and a man died in the crash at Suttontown, near Mount Gambier.

A 55-year-old woman, a 77-year-old woman and an 80-year-old man from the nearby town of Millicent all died at the scene.

The Toyota Landcruiser, which the boy was driving, allegedly collided head on with a Ford Territory on the Princes Highway at about 12.30pm.

The boy was taken to hospital along with four other occupants of the car including a 13-year-old boy, an 11-year-old girl and a 48-year-old woman, who were in a serious but stable condition.

On Sunday, he was charged and bailed to appear in Mount Gambier Youth Court in February.
